Guggenheim Museum, New York City
The best way to visit is to take the elevator to the top floor and walk down visiting the galleries off main walkway. I was attracted to the random pattern of people contrasted with the concentric circles.

Imagine a person having to plug in the lines in order for two people to communicate. This was part of a old train station that housed a collection of antique machines.
It needs a ribbon but at least it has it's own printer! This was part of a collection in an abandoned train station.
To play a 78 record you have to wind the phonograph and then carefully place the heavy needle on the record. The sound wasn't great but it was better than Aunt Bessie singing. The base is made of beautiful mahogany wood.

These two dancers perform for a large audience every Saturday. Their dresses form beautiful designs as they jump and spin.

I believe all four booths have working phones because I had to wait a long time to get this shot with all of them empty. The center area was for paper phone books, really. Privacy was a big concern in those days and I wonder who values it now enough to keep these active. Notice the seat. Perfect functional design.
This car was parked outside a barber shop in downtown LA. The owner kept coming out to put money in the meter and was more than happy I was admiring his prized possession. Every chrome detail shined and there wasn't a spot on the car.
